How does Pakistan Develop?
How does Pakistan Develop?
These days our country is again in mess. Political
chaos, constitutional complexities economic crisis, and directionless society.
We have Four major problems:
1-we have not built a state-citizen relationship. The state
is ignorant and the citizens indifferent. The political term republic is name is
part of the name of our country, but we don’t understand its real meaning .A
nation-state cannot be imagined without recognizing the right of citizens to
rule.
2-Our second major problem is that we have not education a
top national priority. In this economy of knowledge, we lag behind in literacy
and our education lacks the capacity for academic competition. The nuclear
capability has made the country’s defense invincible, but defense capability
cannot guarantee economic growth.
3-Our third major problem is the rampant Population. No government
can meet the basic needs of flooding the population growing at the ratio of two
percent per annum.
4-we have placed the burden of so-called values and outdated customs on individual self-sufficiency in our society. Economic growth
cannot be imagined by keeping half of the country’s population out of
production process.
These are issues that we do not consider worthy attention We
have had strange hobbies on it. There is no similarity between expenditure and
income. There is a gap between imports and exports. There is an angle of
rivalry in the units of the federation. Decision-making is opaque. In the
absence of trust in state institutions, state authority is precarious. The link
between the political process and national development is weak. On this, our
kind people sometimes blame America, sometimes hope from China, sometimes, sit
at the doorstep of brotherly Islamic countries. The world is at the door of a
major economic crisis, and no one has the courage to listen to our textbook
narrative. We have to solve the problems of our country by properly utilizing
our available resources.
